Any TV in a storm
There were soooo many people! Crowds were drawn to any TV showing the gold medal hockey game...
Robson square was packed, the live sites - forget it, and the little screens infront of the CTV booth on Robson Street couldn't be seen for the sun and the sea of humanity.
We got home in the middle of the second period and celebrated every goal with our neighbours - waving flags and cheering from our balconies.

Sochi House
Apart from the lively music and children dancing, one of the most interesting things in the Sochi House was a map of the 2014 Winter Games venues.

Olympics/Paralympics
The streets were ablaze with light, sound, and celebration during the Olympics. What will we see this first weekend of the Paralympics?
Robson square is open as well as some of the other pavillions, and the cauldron is lit!
vectoral lights - 2010 Winter Games
Although we could see the vectoral lights from our balcony we wanted to see them up close.

On the last day of the Olympics we went down to English Bay to check them out. There is something very peaceful and other worldly about light beams dancing across the sky.

Vancouver did it!
And whistler, of course. Nor do we forget the Canadian tax payer. The emotions reached a feverish pitch on Sunday, and now from the rear-view mirror, it all seems like a distant dream.

Sails at Canada Place
The walk upto the sails was worth it. The public art on display during the Olympics heightened the celebratory atmosphere.
